ABOUT ME
I am an artist working in the Chicago. My work includes large scale drawings on paper and small scale encaustics (an ancient method of painting with melted wax), both of which usually incorporate mixed media (masking tape, paper collage) and found objects.
Much of my work revolves around the subject of science--particularly neuroscience-- and the human figure. I am especially interested in portraiture and self-portraiture.
In addition to showing my work in gallery exhibitions, I have also created a number of commissioned works, including portraits, book and album covers and site-specific paintings.
